The key to any fundraiser is to motivate the members to produce. The system we have in place rewards everyone who produces a minimum, rewards everyone for better production and puts a spotlight on the top producers. This system can be used as a guideline to develop your own reward program, mutually modified or used as is.
Here is our program:
Everyone who raises over $100 will receive a Blockbuster movie rental.
Everyone who raises over $300 will receive a $25 Walmart gift card.
Everyone who raises over $500 will receive a $40 Walmart gift card.
Everyone who raises over $1000 or the person who raises the most over
$500 will receive a Zune MP3 player.
With the exception of the movie rentals, the recipient only receives
the highest award earned. Everyone over $100 gets the movie rental in
addition to other awards achieved.
If our system is used, then we will share in the cost of the awards by deducting the costs from funds collected. For example: If $5000 is raised, you would normally send us $2500 for the gift cards and keep $2500 for yourself. You would then pay for rewards (if not donated). If $500 is earned for rewards, you net $2000.
Under this program, if $500 is earned for rewards, you send us $2750 ($500 that we use to purchase the rewards and $2250 to purchase the gift cards) and you keep $2250 for yourself.
